The Great Indian Screen-Free Art Championship 2026 · Unrushed Minds
Any child aged 5 to 15 living in India. Entries are judged within three age groups, so children only compete with their peers.
Artwork must be made by the child using traditional materials. No AI art, no digital tools and no tracing are allowed.
To keep things fair, please upload a short clip of your child making the artwork along with the final photo.
Each child submits one original piece on one chosen theme, so they can focus fully on a single meaningful artwork.
Complete registration before October 30, 2026. The registration amount shown at checkout is non-refundable once paid.
An expert jury scores every entry on originality, technique and storytelling. The jury's decision is final and binding.
Every registered child receives a participation certificate. Winners in each group receive cash prizes and recognition.
Your details are used only to run the competition. Submitted artwork may be featured by Unrushed Minds, always with credit.
Sign up in minutes with your child's name, age group and your contact details. A one-time fee of ₹99 secures the place.

Children may choose either theme and interpret it however they wish — there are no wrong answers here, only original ones.
A memory made without a screen — an afternoon in the garden, a trip to grandmother's house, or a rainy day of board games and laughter.
Real or imagined, near or impossibly far — paint what a child sees, or dreams of seeing, whenever they look out of their window.
Unrushed Minds exists for one simple belief: childhood should not be rushed, and creativity should not be outsourced to an algorithm. The Great Indian Screen-Free Art Championship is our invitation to families everywhere — put down the device for one weekend, and watch what a child can create when given the time, the space and a blank canvas.
Through traditional art, children turn imagination into something real — learning that the most satisfying things are made slowly, by hand.
A screen-free weekend reconnects children with family, with quiet, and with the inner world of ideas that scrolling drowns out.
Focus, patience, observation and confidence grow with every brushstroke — gifts that last far longer than any competition.

Certificates and national recognition.
Every child competes only with peers of a similar age, so a five-year-old's wonder is never measured against a teenager's technique.
The earliest years — pure imagination, bold colour and fearless first marks.
Growing skill meets storytelling, as young artists begin to shape ideas with intention.
Technique, texture and emotional depth — work that reveals a maturing creative voice.
Winners in each age group are celebrated with cash awards, winner's certificates and national recognition across the Unrushed Minds platform.
And every single child takes home a National Participation Certificate — because showing up to create is already a win.

Your child's name joins thousands across India in a shared creative movement.
This movement only means something if the art is truly the child's own. That is why we celebrate the imperfect, the hand-made and the human — and firmly leave shortcuts at the door. A short verification video keeps every entry honest and every win earned.
Our expert jury evaluates every artwork on what truly matters in children's creativity — not perfection, but originality, expression and the courage to make something real.
Unrushed Minds began with a worry shared by parents across India — that childhood was speeding up, attention was thinning out, and the screen had quietly become the default. We believe the answer isn't fear; it's a better invitation. Something so joyful, so creative and so meaningful that children choose to put the device down on their own.
Our mission is to give every child in India a reason to create — and to make screen-free time something to look forward to, not something to be policed. We are a curated creative studio based in Delhi NCR, building a national movement one canvas at a time. Our values are simple, and they are written into our name.
